Annelise “Lulu” Hagen has been teaching Yoga since 2000. She grew up in California, where she was introduced to Yoga by her sixth grade schoolteacher. Lulu’s mom also went to the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland, so Lulu started studying Sanskrit and attending Kirtans at age 11. After a career in the Theater, which took her to New York, Lulu found the Jivamukti Yoga Studio and reignited her Yoga flame. This led to her being certified by Alison West and commencing her Yoga teaching career. Lulu has taught all over Manhattan and Brooklyn, with some forays to other cities. She developed a workshop on Yoga for the Face, which subsequently turned into a book and DVD entitled “the Yoga Face”. Lulu likes to teach a vigorous and flowing style of vinyasa with an emphasis on alignment and intention. She considers herself a Bhakti Yogini.
