LeighAnn Montieth

LeighAnn grew up in Houston, TX and has been living in New York since the summer of 2003.

As a child, she studied ballet and all forms of dance. She encountered yoga for the first time at the age of 13, during summer study with the Oklahoma City Ballet. She studied Dance and Mathematics at Marymount Manhattan College, graduating in 2006. During her undergraduate studies, she also underwent intensive training at American Dance Festival, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and Bates Dance Festival. It was at Bates Dance Festival that she discovered the amazing healing power of yoga, as she recovered from foot surgery.
